Alice R. Devers, age 84, of York Township, Red Lion, died at 7:12 AM Friday, March 20, 2026, at Dallastown Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Martin S. Devers.

Born April 23, 1941, in Tacoma, Washington, she was a daughter of the late Axel and Rose (Johnston) Hammerstrom. She earned her Master’s Degree in Library Science from Drexel University and worked for York County Martin Memorial Library. She was a member of Central Pennsylvania Bead and Jewelry Society, and enjoyed a great marriage, great family, great friends, and hobbies during her life.

Mrs. Devers is survived by a daughter, Deborah Devers, of York; a stepdaughter, Sharon Devers-Lobaton, of Philadelphia; two step grandchildren, Liliana and Charles; a sister, Hope Iblings, of Federal Way, Washington, and a sister-in-law, Eunice Hammerstrom, of Tacoma, Washington. She was also preceded in death by a son, Andrew Devers; and a brother, David Hammerstrom.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM AM Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with Jo Roussey officiating. A reception with the family will immediately follow. At Alice’s request, please wear light colors and not black.
