Alma Mae Swartz, age 99, of Manchester, died at 11:51 PM Sunday, November 30, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Vernon C. Swartz.

Born April 1, 1926, in York, a daughter of the late Lurdy and Florence (Strickler) Shull, she is survived by a daughter, Verna M. Poe, of Manchester; three sons, Jeffery V. Swartz, and his wife Judith, of Thomasville, Terry L. Swartz, and his wife Sandra, of Yorkana, and Sterling E. Swartz, of York; nine grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Deborah Warner, of North Carolina. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Carl Poe; and a daughter-in-law, Deborah Swartz.

William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of private funeral arrangements, with the Rev. Bonnier Whitttier officiating.  Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover.
