Anne Elizabeth Coe, age 95, of West Manchester Township, York, died Saturday, August 7, 2021 at UPMC Memorial. She was the wife of the late Donald H. Coe, who died July 31, 2018.
The daughter to the late F. Van Buran and Mary E. (Pierson) Leigh, she was born October 15, 1925 in Princeton, New Jersey, where she had also attended Westminster Choir College. She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church and a former member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Coe is survived by a son, G. Bradford “Brad” Coe, and his wife Laura, of Hellam; a daughter, Linda D. Aumend, and her husband Gail, of Attica, Ohio; four grandchildren, Noelle, Shanna, Pam, and Stacy; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and two brothers, C. Edward and Robert Leigh. She was also preceded in death by a son, Roger B. Coe and a grandchild.
A combined graveside service for both Mr. and Mrs. Coe is scheduled for 10:30 AM Friday, August 27, 2021 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Mr. Coe, who was a US Army Veteran of WWII, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart, as well as the American Theater Service Ribbon, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Ribbon, will be buried with full military honors. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
