Anne J. Patterson, age 73, of Spring Garden Township, York, died at 9:20 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at her residence. She was the wife of John E. Patterson.

Born September 4, 1950, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Richard Van O’Linda, Sr. and Claire (Grady) Van O’Linda.  She retired as the assistant to Judge Michael Bortner and, prior to that, had worked as the secretary at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church as well as Anaconda Continental Wire and Cable. She was a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church in York.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Patterson is survived by a daughter, Jennifer A. Patterson, of York; a brother, Richard Van O’Linda, Jr., and his wife Esther, of York; a niece, Jill Anne Shultz, her husband John, and their children, Claire and Elizabeth; and a nephew, David Van O’Linda.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 219 South Beaver Street, York, with The Reverend Samuel Dubois as Celebrant. Viewing will be from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
