Annette Mae Segal Obituary

In Loving Memory of Annette Mae Segal
 June 18, 1949 – July 22, 2025
 York, Pennsylvania

With heavy hearts and profound love, we remember Annette Mae Segal, a remarkable woman whose vibrant spirit, unwavering devotion, and fierce love touched all who knew her.

Born on June 18, 1949, to Harry and Evelyn Shear of Westbrook, Connecticut, Annette attended Central Connecticut College, now University of Connecticut, where she received her associates degree.

Annette passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a deep and unfillable space in the lives of those who cherished her. Her strength was unmatched; she was outspoken, passionate, and fiercely protective of the people and values she held dear.

She was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, and a woman who lived life boldly and unapologetically.

She is survived by her beloved husband and partner in life, Bob, her loving sons David (Lauren) and Marc (Jessica), and her treasured grandchildren Ben, Johnny, Olivia, and Isaiah who brought endless joy to her life and filled her heart with pride. Her home was also filled with the unconditional love of her three adored dogs, Buster, Lola, and Roxie, who were never far from her side.

Throughout her life, Annette remained deeply connected to her childhood best friend, Diane McCrary-Blay. Their bond, forged in youth and strengthened by decades of shared experiences, including attending Woodstock together, was a constant source of love, laughter, and support. Diane was a daily part of Annette’s life until her final day.

Annette’s legacy is one of strength, loyalty, and unshakable love. She never hesitated to speak her truth, to fight for what was right, or to show up fully for the people she loved. Her presence filled every room, her laughter was unforgettable, and her love—fierce, unconditional, and all-encompassing—will continue to guide and sustain those she left behind.

We will miss her deeply, remember her always, and carry her spirit with us in every act of courage, kindness, and love.

Private funeral arrangements are provided by William E. Little Funeral Homes, 2150 Carlisle Road, York, PA 17408.
