Barbara A. Kohken, age 86, of Katonah, New York, died at 6:35 PM Monday, March 23, 2026, at Misericordia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of John H. Kohnken, Jr.
Born June 9, 1938, in Somers, New York, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Mathilde (Tangen) Amundsen.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kohnken is survived by six children, Nancy O’Conor, and her husband Peter, Sharon Melody, and her husband Arthur, III, Cindy Austell, and her husband Chris, John Kohnken, and his wife Lynne, Ken Kohnken, and his wife Joy, and Heather Frank; twelve grandchildren, Kelsey O’Conor (Jake Hornick), Craig O’Conor (Melanie), Shelley O’Conor (Grant Dube), Keith O’Conor (Emily), Arthur Melody, IV (Jorrie), Christopher Austell (Megan), Nicholas Austell, Olivia, Samantha, and Jack Kohnken, and Kyleigh and Sydney Frank; and five great grandchildren, Jane, Cora, Emma, Maxwell, and Harper.
