Barbara V. McGrain

Barbara V. McGrain, age 88, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 10:55 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Wellspan York Hospital.

Born November 2, 1936, in York, she was a daughter of the late James and Ella (Easton) Koch. She had worked as a secretary at various offices, most recently at Beasley Ford Lincoln.

She is survived by two daughters, Rhona “Debbie” Smith, and her husband Fredrick, of York, and Marcia L. Ness, of Wrightsville; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Katy Jay; a great grandson, Isaac; three brothers, Ralph, James, and George Koch; and two sisters, Phyllis Witmer and Doris Brown.

Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of private funeral arrangements.
