Bernard H. Wagman, Jr., age 90, of York Township, York, died at 11:09 AM Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his residence. He was the companion of Doretta C. (Clupper) Matson for more than 30 years.
Born April 3, 1935, in York, he was the only child of the late Bernard H. and Grace (Behrensen) Wagman. He retired as a lineman for Met-Ed and was a member of Chapel Church in Red Lion. He also served in the United States Army from 1958-1960.
In addition to his companion, Mr. Wagman is survived by a son, Michael Wagman, and his wife Renee, of York; Doretta’s daughter, Aleta Kralowetz, of York; seven grandchildren, Dalton, Amanda (Paul), Heather (Bill), Tiffany, Teslin, Braelen, and Roenick; and two great grandchildren, Emalina and Freya. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Keefer; and Doretta’s son, Dorian Matson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, January 23, 2026, at Chapel Church, 3050 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, with his Pastor, Josh Wargo, officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will be in Heiland View Cemetery with flag presentation by The York County Veterans Honor Guard. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
