Blaine Ellsworth Knepper, Sr.

Blaine Ellsworth Knepper, Sr., age 98, of Windsor Township, York, went to be with his lord and savior at 4:25 PM Friday, November 28, 2025, at his residence.  He was the husband of the late Mary Ellen (Stump) Knepper for 66 years.

Born April 14, 1927, in Somerset County, a son of the late Harry M. and Lula (Bender) Knepper, he was a long-time self-employed farmer.

Mr. Knepper is survived by a son, Blaine E. Knepper, Jr., of Myrtle Beach; three daughters, Mary E. Hoyt, of Las Vegas, Judy A. Knepper, of Myrtle Beach, and Beverly K. Root, and her husband Allen, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Kathryn Goossen, Michael Hoyt, Elizabeth Chang, and Philip Hoyt; and one great granddaughter, Rachel Hoyt.  He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Glen, Harry, Lynn, Dale, and James Knepper; and a son-in-law, Lynn Hoyt.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Friday, December 5, 2025, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with Pastor Daniel Knepper, officiating. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
