Bonita M. Harris

Bonita M. Harris, age 83, of Dover Township, Dover, died at 6:28 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at her residence. She was the wife of the late John Harris and the fiancé of the late Russell M. Jefferson, Jr.

Born November 7, 1938, in York, one of eleven children of the late Elijah and Ettie (Crawford) Lambert, she was retired from Dentsply International, and was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church.

Ms. Harris is survived by three sons, Juan F. Harris, Sr., and his fiancé Christine Dickensheets, of York, Dias A. Harris, and his fiancé Lisa Richmond, of Burlington, North Carolina, and Russell M. Jefferson III, and his wife Ashley Buchanan, of Yoe; fourteen grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2022, at Prospect Hill Cemetery, with The Rev. Dr. Sherman L. Lambert, Sr. officiating.  Guest are invited to meet at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance to the Cemetery at 1:45 PM.  Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
