Bonnie Marie (Snyder) Caster, age 67, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2024, while surrounded by her loved ones at her daughter’s residence.

Born April 20, 1957, in York, she was the third oldest daughter of the late Lawrence Snyder, Sr. and the late Betty J. (Lawyer) Snyder.

Bonnie, also known as Grandma Bonnie, Aunt B, and mom, was a kind, goodhearted, light spirited, sometimes a little feisty, loving companion, sister, mom, grandma, and great grandma. She would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need and she loved thrift shopping, bingo, playing cards, spending time with her grandkids and her dog, Molly. Her grandkids loved to raid her cupboards because they know grandma has the “good” junk food. She was known to her neighbors as the “Mayor”. She knew what was always happening in her community. Bonnie dearly loved and missed her late mom, whom she was very close to. No matter how much pain she was in, you wouldn’t know it. She was filled with laughter and put others before herself.

Above all, Bonnie was a believer and publicly announced her faith, and that the Lord Jesus was her Savior. She will be deeply missed by all. Our family, friends, and people she has touched know in our hearts this is not goodbye and we will see her again one day.

Bonnie is survived by a son, Spencer Hamberger; a daughter, Tabatha Peregoy, and her husband Matthew; three granddaughters, Ashley, Isabelle, and Madison; one great granddaughter, Nevaeh; her companion, Glen Hamm; five sisters, Vicki Doll, Judy Buser, Wanda Brodbeck, Della Stiles, and Tracey O’Toole; her beloved dog, Molly; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Snyder, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 30, 2024, from 1-4 PM at Grace Lutheran Church 150 Jefferson Avenue York, PA 17401.

Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is assisting with arrangements.
