Bryan R. Janis

Bryan R. Janis, age 77, of East Manchester Township, Mount Wolf, died at 2:20 PM on Sunday July 17, 2022, at Promedica Kingston Court. He was the husband of Mary L. (Vivian) Janis.

Born December 8, 1944, in York, a son of the late Charles I. and Doris V. (Myers) Janis, he was an electrician for IBEW Local # 129.

In addition to his wife of 42 years, Mr. Janis is survived by his son, Matthew B. Janis, and his partner Karen T. Sipe; daughter, Jennifer L. Miller, and her partner Shawn Hughes; five grandchildren, Gabriel Janis, Kelsey Plymire, Madelyn Miller, Nathan Miller and Zech Querry; three great granddaughters, Hattie, Eloise and Annie Plymire, and his sister, Ann K. Shortridge. He was also preceded in death by his son, Charles Scott Janis; grandson, Jacob Miller and brother, Michael D. Janis.

Services will be held at a later date. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
