Carl M. "Rusty" Seitz, Jr.

Carl M. “Rusty” Seitz, Jr., age 65, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 12:14 AM Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Common Spirit Saint Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado. He was the husband of the late Margarite C. “Margie” (Myers) Seitz.

Born April 16, 1959, in York, he was the son of the late Carl M. Seitz, Sr. and the late Josephine S. (Conaway) Seitz.  He retired this year from Pixelle Specialty Solutions and its predecessor, P.H. Glatfelter, and had also worked for BMY from 1977-1994. He was a member of the Shiloh American Legion, the Viking Athletic Association, and West York VFW 8951.

Mr. Seitz is survived by a son, Carl M. “Buddy” Seitz, III, and his wife Dawn, of Dover; a daughter, Carly M. Slagel, and her husband Matthew, of Golden, Colorado; four grandchildren, Elli Runkle, Austin Buhrman, Nathan Wine, and Nicholas Wine; one great-grandchild, Khalani Jefferson; and four sisters, Candace H. Schwartz (Jeff), of York, Karen S. Lehman (Randy), of Hillsboro, Oregon, Gloria Jean Spangler, of York New Salem, and Mary Lou Hubler, of Spring Grove, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Coudriet, and Anna Price.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
