Carol M. Edwards

Carol M. Edwards, age 84, of New Salem Borough, York, died at 2:08 PM Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Inners Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Eugene Edwards.

Born April 27, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Charles and Marian (Bosley) Whiteford, she was a 1957 graduate of Eastern High School in Maryland and worked as a supervisor in healthcare. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 22, and enjoyed playing bingo, trips to Ocean City, Maryland, shopping, and spending time with her companion cats.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by a daughter, Sherry Mitzel, of Perry Hall, Maryland; three sons, Edward Lee Mitzel, and his wife Kathy, of Florida, Charles David Mitzel, and his wife Irene, of York, and Keith B. Mitzel, and his wife Hermelinda, of Milford, Delaware; fourteen grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is  in charge of private funeral arrangements.
