Carol A. Hendrix, age 91, of York, died at 5:15 PM Monday, July 22, 2024, at her residence. She was the wife of Darryl C. Hendrix.

Born July 21, 1933, in York, she was the daughter of the late Eugene N. Miller and the late Sarah Bowers and was a past member of the American Gourd Society and the Pennsylvania Gourd Society.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, Mrs. Hendrix is survived by three children, Sarah Gutter, of York, Julie McLaughlin, and her husband Marvin, of Loganville, and Eric Hendrix, and his wife Kelley, of Willoughby, Ohio; three grandchildren, Tyler McLaughlin, Meredith McLaughlin, and Claudia Carol Hendrix; a brother James Miller; two half-sisters, Linda Reed, and Ann Filus; and two half-brothers, Eugene Miller, Jr., and Barney Miller. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Miller; and a half-brother, Daniel Miller.

Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of private funeral arrangements. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
