Carol A. Shipley, age 83, of York Township, York, formerly of Harrisville, West Virginia, and Chicago, Illinois, died at 9:40 AM Monday, February 2, 2026, at Senior Commons at Powder Mill. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Shipley.

Born July 10, 1942, in Mechanicsburg, a daughter of the late Merlin and Pauline (Busser) Grossman, she was retired from the Planning Department of the City of Chicago.

Mrs. Shipley is survived by two sisters, Andrea Ensminger, of Dover, and Deanna Shaeffer, of Dover; two brothers, Christopher Grossman, of York, and Richard Grossman, of Silver City, New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Merlin Grossman.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, February 9, 2026, at Paddletown Cemetery, Newberrytown, with Pastor Ryan Whisel officiating. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
