Carol Ann Stambaugh

Carol Ann “Penny” Stambaugh, age 85, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 9:25 AM Sunday, August 13, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was the wife of Carl L. Stambaugh, Sr.

Born April 6, 1938, in York, a daughter of the late George and Ruth A. (Fisher) Brickner, she owned and operated a custom drapery and window fashion business, Window Fantasies, for 30 years.

In addition to her husband of 68 years, Mrs. Stambaugh is survived by her five children, Stephen S. Stambaugh, and his wife Uta, of Berlin, Germany, Michael P. Stambaugh, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Alane M. Stambaugh, and her fiancé Daniel Fife, of Red Lion, Vicki L. Markel, and her husband David, of Spring Grove, and Carl L. Stambaugh, Jr., of York; nine grandchildren, Michaela Stambaugh, William Stambaugh, Nicholas Stambaugh, Laura Stare, Heather Firestone, Erik Crawford, Bree Fleshman, Timothy Stambaugh, and Linda Walter; twelve great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald “Buck” Brickner, of Florida; and a sister, Coleen Brickner, of York. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Barry and Jody Brickner.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, August 31, 2023, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc. 2150 Carlisle Road, York, with Pastor Aaron Kunce officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
