Carrie L. Tatlas, age 50, of East Manchester Township, Manchester, died at 11:32 PM Friday, June 20, 2025, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of Gust G. Tatlas.

Born February 1, 1975, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, she was a daughter of Alan R. and Susan C. (DiCandito) Kocher, of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from American Public University and worked as a program manager at NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS). She served in the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) branch supporting U.S. allied nations.

In addition to her husband of nearly 30 years, and her parents, Mrs. Tatlas is survived by two sons, George G. Tatlas, of Harrisburg, and Alan R. Tatlas, of Scranton; a sister, Jenny A. Hamilton, of Enfield, Connecticut; her father-in-law, George L. Tatlas, and his wife Barbara, of Jacksonville; and her mother-in-law, Jamie Edmondson, of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Carrie was a vocal Pittsburg Steelers and Pirates fan although she would root for the Eagles and Phillies for the sake of her husband as long as they were not sharing a field… or competing in the playoffs. She was a proud sci-fi fantasy and comic book geek. Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and all things Disney gave her great joy and she loved to share it with her family and friends. She also loved vintage clothes, decor and spent years as a vendor at several small businesses in the York area. She was an avid reader and had her husband custom build her bookcases so she could property display her” trophies” throughout their home.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 12:00-4:00 PM, at The Yorktowne Hotel, 48 East Market Street, York. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
