Charles E. Moon, III, age 73, of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, died at 6:31 PM Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Born May 30, 1953, in Berwick, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Charles E. “Bud” Moon, Jr. and the late Marlene (English) Johnson. He retired as an electronics repair technician and was a US Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War. He served from 1972-1976 and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Rifle Expert Badge.
Mr. Moon is survived by two sons, Matthew C. Moon, of Zephryhills, Florida, and Mark E. Moon, of Scranton; a brother, Kerry Moon; and eleven grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael L. Moon; and a daughter, Kristin M. Moon.
Full military honors are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
