Chris was born and raised in York, PA to Caron and Christine (Rider) Ehehalt, who both preceded him in death. He attended York Catholic High School but ultimately graduated from Fork Union Military Academy in 1968 and the University of Dayton in 1972. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Susan (Page) Ehehalt. Chris and Susie have two children Christian Ehehalt (Jennifer) of Glenview, IL and Emily Greene (Sean) of Baltimore, MD. They are blessed to have four beautiful grandchildren Jack, Caroline, Henry and William.
Chris is survived by his four siblings, Jane E. Kirkpatrick (Bill), of Greenville, South Carolina, Sally E. Wisotzkey (Steve), of Ann Arbor, Michigan, John G. Ehehalt (Jonna), of Norfolk, Virginia, and Amy E. Ports (John), of York.
He was a professional salesman and spent his career selling legal publishing materials with Thomson Reuters. His love of soccer led him to coaching youth soccer for over 10 years. He was fortunate to retire early in life and was able to enjoy spending his time collecting art, birdwatching, traveling, golfing and of course spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed visiting two of his most cherished places - Bethany Beach and the Outer Banks.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, April 4, 2025, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with The Rev. Glenn Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 PM. A reception with the family will immediately follow. Private burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery.
