Cletus E. “JR” Gotwalt, Jr., age 57, of West York Borough, died at 8:20 AM Friday, August 20, 2021 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. He was the husband of Dawn E. (Kelley) Gotwalt.
Born August 18, 1964 in York, a son of Delores (Shouck) Hansford, of York, and the late Cletus E. Gotwalt, Sr., he was employed as a crane operator for Consolidated Scrap Resources for 35 years. He attended Providence Presbyterian Church, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Gotwalt is survived by a stepson, Louis Litvak, of York; a stepdaughter, Lauren Litvak, of Fort Collins, Colorado; a brother, Richard “Doc” Gotwalt; four sisters, Debbie Baker, Kim Gotwalt, Babette Gotwalt, and Giget Heintz; and many nieces and nephews including, Destiny Gotwalt, Michaela Heintz, and Sinclaire Heintz.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Providence Presbyterian Church, 1215 Church Road, York, with his Pastor, Vince Wood, officiating. Viewings will be held at the Church from 5-7:00 PM Tuesday and 10-11:00 AM Wednesday. Burial will be private. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York is in charge of arrangements.
