Connie (Brown) Shuff, age 90, entered heaven and into the arms of her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on May 1, 2026, at home in Spring Grove.

Born on July 10, 1935, at York Hospital, daughter of the late Herald and Charlotte (Knisley) Brown she was the loving and faithful wife of Richard C. Shuff with whom she shared 73 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by daughter, Trudy Craley and husband Bill, of Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren, Angie Seaman, and husband Eric, Brooke Kelly, and her husband Joe, and Rocky Craley, and wife Catherine; great grandchild, Saleen Seaman; her sister, Faye Strickler; and sister-in-law, Helen Brown.  She was also preceded death by her daughter, Bonnie Lou Shuff; and her son, Richard C. “Rick” Shuff, Jr.; and two brothers, Ronald and Jerry Brown.

Connie graduated from Red Lion High School in 1953. She worked for York City Schools for 30 years as assistant cook at Phineas Davis for 12 years, then chief cook and manager at William Penn for 14 years. She was president of White Rose Food Service Chapter 27 from 1986-1987, where she was a member for 15 years. She was a member and Head of Hospitality of Grace Fellowship now known as Genesis Church.

Her hobbies included baking, cake decorating, collecting cookbooks, entering baking contests and, in later years, judging baking contests. She received numerous awards and ribbons from many different fairs and from the State Farm Show. She won PA State Apple Pie, Chocolate Cake, and Angel Food cake at the state level.

Her main ambition was to write a cookbook, which she published in 2010. It was a big success.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, May 8, 2026, at Genesis Church, 1405 Seven Valleys Road, York, with Pastor Bob Tome officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be private. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
