Dale A. Brenneman

York - Dale A. Brenneman, age 91, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 4:02 PM Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Pappus House. He was the husband of the late Gwendolyn V. (Wagner) Brenneman.

Born August 26, 1929 in York, he was the son of the late Gerald R. and Lovera C. (Miller) Brenneman. A 1947 graduate of William Penn High School, he then served as a Sergeant in the US Army in Germany during the Korean War. He retired as an electrician from Dallco Industries, Inc., and had also worked for Bendix Corporation, Teledyne Readco, Borg Warner, and Westinghouse. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and, as an avid sailor served as past Commodore of Susquehanna Yacht Club.

Mr. Brenneman is survived by two daughters, Gale Luiz, and her husband Al, of Rockwall, Texas, and Leslee Yoder, and her husband Randy, of York; four grandchildren, Dustin Kemper, Jelee Kemper, Zach Luiz, and his wife Courtney, and Michael Luiz; and one great grandchild, Ryder Holtzman.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Prospect Hill Cemetery, with his Pastor, The Rev. Dr. Alan J. Watt, officiating. Military rites will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Guests are invited to gather at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance at 10:15 AM. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
