Daune M. Wynn Obituary

Daune M. (Boyer) Wynn, formerly of York, passed away on November 27, 2025, at Cross Keys Brethren Homes, in New Oxford, PA of Parkinson’s Disease. She was the wife of the late James B. Wynn.


Daune was born on September 1, 1942, in York, a daughter of the late Morris and Vivien (Hartwell) Boyer.  She retired as the Executive Assistant to the President of the Children’s Home of York and Sheltered Workshop.


She is survived by a son, James B. Wynn, Jr., of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and three sisters, Barbara Bahn and Linda Benyak, both of York, and Helena Faucett, of Denton, Maryland.


Her main community activities included volunteering with Atkins House, Jaycee Wives, Young Women’s Club of York, and Spring Garden Township Recreation Commission. While in her 60s, she donated a kidney to a family friend.


She was a member of Emory United Methodist Church, in New Oxford, and a former member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and Asbury United Methodist Church, both in York.


Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, December 12, 2025, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with her Pastor, The Rev. Mick Dawes, and The Rt. Rev. Barry Yingling CSSS, officiating.
