David M. Downey

David M. Downey, age 69, of Manchester Township, York, died at 9:30 AM Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the residence of his daughter.  He was the husband of Georgia F. (Goodling) Downey.

Born October 18, 1953, in York, a son of the late Ralph and Grace (Anderson) Downey, he was a 1971 graduate of York Vo-Tech, and was retired a machinist, having worked for Precision Components, and its predecessor Allis Chalmers, after more than 40 years of employment.  He was a member of AARP, West York VFW Post # 8951, and Free and Accepted Masons.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, Mr. Downey is survived by his daughter, Christal M. McQuaide, of York; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Austin; a brother; and a sister.

A viewing will be held from 2-4:00 PM Saturday September 9, 2023, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York.
