David H. Nicklow Obituary

David H. Nicklow, age 80, of York, died at 10:45 PM Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Sallie A. (Kahley) Nicklow.
Born May 26, 1945, in York, a son of the late Clarence E. and Gertrude (Schmidt) Nicklow, he retired as the Visual Display Supervisor for Bon Ton Department Stores after 47 years of employment. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association. He also enjoyed bowling and playing fast pitch softball. He attended Covenant Moravian Church.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, Mr. Nicklow is survived by a daughter, Jennifer L. Nicklow-McGee, and her husband Jason of Covington, Georgia; two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Nicholas McGee; a brother, Richard Nicklow; and three sisters, Judith Holtzapple, Margaret Nicklow, and Teresa Nicklow. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Curtis Nicklow, and two sisters, Linda Stough and Virginia Richter.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with Pastor Kevin Marshall officiating. Viewings will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday and 12:30-1:30 PM Tuesday. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
