Dean V.I. Sprenkle

Dean V. I. Sprenkle, age 87, of York, died at 5:38 AM Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Yorkview Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born December 31, 1937, in York, he was a son of the late Lloyd W. and Nellye M. (Hilker) Sprenkle.  He served in the Army and Marine Corps and was retired from Agway.

Mr. Sprenkle is survived by a daughter, Dina Sprenkle Shumate, of Texas; three sons, Dean Sprenkle, Dana Sprenkle, and William Rudisill; a brother, Sydney Sprenkle; and three sisters, Ina Hengst, JoAnn Huber, and Sharon Generette-Leonard. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd E. Sprenkle and Denton Sprenkle; and five sisters, Jacqueline Ritcher, Shirley Leonard, Carolyn Hoskins, Constance “Becki” Sprenkle, and Fay “Peggy” Heath.
