Delores J. McNew

Delores J. McNew, age 84, of York, died at 8:10 AM Monday, May 30, 2022, at Cumberland Crossings in Carlisle. She was the wife of the late Robert P. McNew, Sr.

Born March 4, 1938 in York, a daughter of the late Raymond and Verna (Walton) Jacobs, she had retired from Duplex Printing. Mrs. McNew attended Immanual Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Florida and was a devoted Christian, strong servant of Jesus Christ. She also enjoyed shuffle board, bowling, bingo, board and card games, puzzles and spending time with family. She was the life of the party.  

Mrs. McNew is survived by three sons, Robert McNew, Jr., Raymond McNew, his wife Kelly, and Randy McNew, all of Dillsburg; two stepdaughters, Donna Elliott, her husband Warren, of Chambersburg, and Diana Verdier, of Macon, Georgia; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday June 8, 2022 at Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with Pastor Philip Thornton, officiating. Viewing will be 9-10:00 AM. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
