Dennis L. Snelbaker Obituary
Dennis L. Snelbaker, age 79, of Newberry Township, Manchester, died at 2:50 AM Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the husband of Rita D. (Laughlin) Snelbaker.
Born February 6, 1947, in York, he was the son of the late Luther Rohrbaugh and was raised by his mother, the late Mae (Snelbaker) Zeigler and stepfather, the late Stuart Zeigler. He retired as a supervisor from Quigley Motor Company and, after retirement, worked part time as a driver for F&S Transportation. He was a member of the York County Racing Club and a longtime member of the Wago Club where he served as President for 14 years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Snelbaker is survived by three sons, Douglas L. Snelbaker, and his wife Kelly, of Dover, Jeremy G. Sechrist, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Christopher A. Furtaw, and his wife Marsha, of East Berlin; three grandchildren, Erika, Hannah, and Elizabeth; one great grandson, Ian; two brothers, Michael “Mike” Wise and John Zeigler, both of Manchester; and a sister, Catherine “Cathy” Dolan, of Dover. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Mary Edleblute, and Brenda Taylor; and a grandson, Joshua.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will be private.
