Dolores G. (Faust) Gifford, age 93, of York Township, York, died at 10:16 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Gifford.

Born February 8, 1932, in New Holland, she was a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Elizabeth A. (Gehman) Faust.  She was a 1949 Honors graduate of William Penn High School class of 1949, where she served as staff typist for the York High Weekly Newspaper. She attended Thompson’s Business School and worked as the secretary in the executive office of Motter Company, as well as her husband’s construction business. She volunteered as a Cub Scout leader, and a Sunday School teacher for 26 years, and a Child Evangelism teacher for 20 years, at Aldersgate Church.

Mrs. Gifford is survived by two sons, David S. Gifford, and wife Joy, of York, and Richard H. Gifford, Jr., and wife Mary, of Retsof, New York; three granddaughters, Melissa Totani, Laura Gifford, and Whitney Fulton; and five great grandchildren, Paige, Devon, Lorelei, Grayson and Christian. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert D. Faust; three sisters, Bernice C. Lefever, Janet M. Faust, and Elaine R. Smyser.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Aldersgate Church, 397 Tyler Run Road, York, with her Pastor, Bob Kaylor, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Private burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
