Edward William Neuman

Edward William Neuman peacefully passed on to heaven on March 19, 2024. Edward is survived by his three children Edward Neuman, Jr. and wife Kathleen, Elizabeth Neuman Snyder, and David Neuman. Edward is survived by five grandchildren, Christina Neuman Wood and husband Jeff, Patricia Neuman Aungst and husband Brad, Andrew Neuman and wife Chelsea, Jarrod Snyder and wife Korie, and Micah Snyder and wife Nicole. His great grandchildren were the delight of his heart, Natalie, Caleb, Greta, Autumn, Aubrianna, Kenzi, Moriah, Isaiah, Noah, Hunter, Caroline, Walter, and Nolan. He is also survived by many wonderful friends who visited and encouraged him particularly in his last three months of illness. Edward will forever live in the hearts of his loved ones. His life is celebrated with joyful memories and a legacy of love.

Edward was married to the late Jean Ross Neuman for 62 wonderful years. Edward was the son of the late J. Wildrick Neuman and Irma Renner Neuman. He is predeceased by sister Charlotte Neuman Marts.

Edward was a 1949 graduate of William Penn High School and a 1953 graduate of Susquehanna University. He is a veteran, having served in the US Army. Edward owned and operated his family business, the York Ice Company, Inc. He continued to work through age 92 and enjoyed seeing his three children and five grandchildren actively involved in the ice business.  His oldest great grandchild worked with him this past summer starting employment of the 7th generation.

Edward was active in his church. He enjoyed golfing, oil painting, coin collecting, gardening, hunting, fishing, and debating a topic with friends. He loves his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his family.

A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2024, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc. 2150 Carlisle Road, York.  Our celebration of his life will be held 1:00 Saturday, March 23, 2024, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc. 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with his Pastor, The Rev. Robert Riedy, officiating.  A visitation will be held from 12-1:00 PM.  Private burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery
