Elaine Viola (Kreeger) Lefever was born in Seven Valleys, PA on October 22, 1932, to the late William and Sadie (Herman) Kreeger. Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Mahlon Lefever in 2006; four brothers, William, Leon, Clair, and Dean; six sisters, Louise Thoman, Arlene Strickler, Janet Baker, Florence Darr, Dorothy Lentz, and Shirley Kinard; and a great grandson, Jevon Johnson. Her sister, Delores Ness, lives in York, PA. Her son, Gregory Lefever and his wife, Noreen, live in Exton, PA, and her daughter, Diana Lefever, lives in Red Lion, PA.

Elaine has six granddaughters, Elaine Riner, Megan Nafie, Mary Sharits, Erin Smith, Holly Johnson, and Hannah Naylor; and fifteen great grandchildren, Jackson and Colton Riner, Amir and Anynah Johnson, John, Declan and Rayna Nafie, Benjamin, Ezekiah and Phineas Sharits, and Madalyn, Rowan, Meredith and Reed Smith.

Elaine grew up in Seven Valleys with her brothers and sisters and many friends where she often spoke of happy memories. Once married, Mahlon and Elaine settled in Seven Valleys for eight years until moving to Weiglestown, PA. Elaine was a housewife, but worked as a seamstress for many years and retired from Danskin in 1995. Mahlon and Elaine loved going to the mountains and the beach, and enjoying retirement with her family in a cabin in Morris, PA. She loved spoiling her grandchildren. After Mahlon died, in 2006, she moved into Shiloh Ridge retirement community in West York and enjoyed going places with her family, especially her close friend Jeannie Dietz, or her sisters, as well as friends in the community. She loved shopping and going on bus trips.

Elaine was a long-time member of Salem Union United Church of Christ in Dover, PA and later Shiloh Lutheran Church in Shiloh. She was also a member of Weiglestown Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
