Elaine R. Smyser

Elaine R. Smyser, age 83, of York Township, York, died at 6:12 PM
Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Kadima Nursing Center in
Palmyra. She was the wife of Carroll "Skip" Smyser.

Born January 4, 1937 in Shillington, the youngest of five children
of the late Clarence L. and Elizabeth Ann (Gehman) Faust, she
grew up in a household where love was plentiful at a time when
most everything else was scarce. She shared that love
generously with her family and friends.

She had worked in Human Resources, Administration and Payroll
for Redco, and prior to that had worked at Fulton Mehring Hauser.
In addition to her husband of 66 years, Mrs. Smyser is survived by
a son, Daniel L. Smyser, of Richmond, Virginia; four grandchildren;
five great grandchildren; and a sister, Dolores G. Gifford, of York.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert P. Faust; and
two sisters, Bernice C. Lefever, and Janet M. Faust.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Kuhner Associates
Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge
of arrangements.

Alzheimer's Association, Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate
Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg PA 17110.
