Eleanor C. Raybin, age 6, of York, died unexpectedly at 3:19 AM on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Wellspan York Hospital of natural causes.

Born January 10, 2018, in York, the daughter of Mark A. and Tiffany M. (Carver) Raybin, Eleanor loved life and lived every day to the fullest, often declaring that “today is the best day ever.” She was known to all for her joyous, loving heart and sharing her kindness with everyone. She enjoyed the usual activities of a child, especially the arts. She loved singing, dancing, painting, and was often found working on imaginative drawings. She also enjoyed playgrounds, camping, fishing, boating, going to theme parks, bowling, miniature golf, and going out to eat. Eleanor loved making new friends everywhere she went.

Eleanor attended Devers Elementary School where she had just graduated from Kindergarten. Eleanor loved school, racing to the drop-off door every morning to see her teacher and her friends. Previously, she attended Seven Tribe Playground nature preschool where she spent every school day outside and developing her love of nature and being outdoors.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor is survived by her maternal grandmother, Pam Bowman (Paul), of Stewartstown; maternal grandfather, Mark Carver, of Stewartstown; maternal great grandmother, K. Louise Hawes, of Stewartstown; paternal grandfather, Brian Raybin, Sr. (Kate), of York; and paternal great grandmother, Ruth Mickey, of York; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A service to celebrate Eleanor’s life is scheduled for 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York. Viewing will be from 1:00-3:00 PM. Guests are requested to wear an array of colors, with Eleanor’s favorite color being purple.
