Ethel L. Keeney

Ethel L. Keeney, age 96, of York, died at 10:40 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021
at Autumn House East. She was the wife of the late Kenneth L. Keeney.

Born May 23, 1924 in York, a daughter of the late George and Clara M.
(Zuver) Wise, she retired from York Hospital. She was a lifetime member of
Grace United Church of Christ, where she served as an Elder, but had
recently joined Faith United Church of Christ. She was also a lifetime
member of the Pennsylvania Parent Teacher Association, and was a member
of Civil Air Patrol.

Mrs. Keeney is survived by a daughter, Carol M. Williams, and her husband
David, of York; two grandsons, Brian and Shawn Williams; five great
grandchildren, Gerald and Brandie Frey, and Connor, Tanner, and Maya
Williams; and one great great grandchild, Peyton Williams. She was also
preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Spangler; and a brother, Stewart Wise.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM Friday, January 29, 2021 at The
Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849
East Market Street, York, with her Pastor, Rev. Dr. Ronald J. Oelrich,
officiating. Viewing will be 1-1:30 PM. Burial will be in Susquehanna
Memorial Gardens.
