Evelyn M. Luckenbaugh

Evelyn M. Luckenbaugh, age 80, of York, died at 3:52 PM Friday, May 19, 2023, at York Hospital.  She was the wife of William E.  Luckenbaugh.

Born January 11, 1943, in York, a daughter of the late Daniel J. Gotwalt, Sr., and the late Angelous (Sharretts) Gotwalt, she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, and enjoyed babysitting many many children.

In addition to her husband of more than 59 years Mrs. Luckenbaugh is survived by two daughters, Susan A. Hamilton, of York, and Shelly A. Wilson, and her husband Robert, of Sanford, North Carolina; a son, Scott A. Luckenbaugh, and his wife Gayle, of York; five grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Robert, Jr., Joshua, and Megan; and ten great grandchildren, Kylin, Emily, Steven, William, Evelyn, Kaylan, Kaydence, Camden, Bryson, and Alexander.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven A. Luckenbaugh; three brothers, Daniel Gotwalt, Jr., William Gotwalt, and James Gotwalt, Sr.; and two sisters, Rosemary Shumaker, and Catherine Goodwin.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with her Pastor, The Rev. Dr. Alan J. Watt, officiating. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Livestream of services will be available at www.facebook.com/KuhnerAssociates
