Florence M. Bowers, age 91, of Newberry Township, York Haven, died at 12:15 PM Monday, May 25, 2026, at York North Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Bowers.

Born December 29, 1934, in Goldsboro, she was a daughter of the late Charles Witmer and the late Zina (Keister) Wertz.  She had worked for PADE, in Strinestown, and was a member of the Red Hat Society, Susquehanna Fire Ladies Auxiliary, and Goldsboro Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Bowers is survived by a son, Rhett Y. Bowers, and his companion Linda Shelly, of Mount Wolf; four grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Rex Bowers; three grandchildren, Matthew Bowers, Aaron Bowers, and Stephanie Wood; and two stepsisters, Doris Gonzales and Roxy Wertz.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2026, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with her grandson, Joshua Bowers officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM.
