Frances A. Shifflett, age 77, of North Codorus Township, York, died at 4:05 PM Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of Gary L. Shifflett.

Born April 3, 1947, in Altoona, the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Mary E. (Warner) Van Allman, she worked for Penn Mar Human Services for 15 years.

In addition to her husband of 41 years, Mrs. Shifflett is survived by a son, David F. Lewis, Jr., and his wife Teresa Michelle Lewis, of Glen Rock; two stepsons, Brian L. Shifflett, of York, Brett A. Shifflett, and his wife Donna, of Virginia; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Van Allman, of Tyrone. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Van Allman.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2025, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
