Frances J. Spangler

Frances J. Spangler, age 94, of York, died at 4:45 PM Friday, November 18, 2022, at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of the late Weldon E. Spangler.

Born June 21, 1928, in York, a daughter of the late Melvin and Helena (Klinefelter) Harlacher, she was a graduate of Temple University and worked as a dental hygienist. She was also a member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ.

Mrs. Spangler is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. Panagacos, and her husband Richard, of Millsboro, Delaware, and Karen L. Moyer, and her husband Courtney, of Sinking Spring; and five grandchildren, Chas Panagacos, Christopher Panagacos, Brooke Moyer, Connor Moyer, and Erin Moyer. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Emma Mary Schmidt.

Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements. There will be a private burial in Mount Rose Cemetery.
