Frances G. Stump

Frances G. Stump, age 85, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 7:45 PM Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Kenneth G. Stump.

Born July 19, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late John and Suzanne (Harman) Pickard, she retired as a seamstress, and was a member of Faith United Church of Christ and the Red Hat Society. She was also an avid golfer at Grandview and part of the card club for 60 years.

Mrs. Stump is survived by a daughter, Carrie S. Stump, of York; a son, Scott T. Stump, of Sinking Spring; two grandchildren, Alexandra and Bennett Stump; two great granddaughters, Marley and Ellie; and two brothers, Thomas Pickard, and his wife Denise, and Timothy Pickard. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Melinda Russell; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Pickard.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, April 22, 2024, at Faith United Church of Christ, 509 Pacific Avenue, York, PA 17404, with The Rev. Dr. Ron Oelrich officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will be private in Suburban Memorial Gardens.
