George A. Jacobs, Jr.

George A. Jacobs, Jr., age 72, of Dover Township, Dover, died at 2:26 PM Thursday, April 7, 2022 at UPMC Memorial. He was the husband of Jane E. (Kohler) Jacobs.

Born October 28, 1949, in York, a son of the late Dorothy J. (Gotwalt) and George A. Jacobs, Sr., he was a 1967 graduate of York High, an Army veteran and retired from York Bank & Trust and worked for District Attorney Tom Kearney.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, Mr. Jacobs is survived by two daughters, Angela E. Pequignot and her husband Larry and Lauren J. Smuck and he husband Jason; four grandchildren, Cadin Jacobs, Jud Pequignot, Emma Pequignot, and Madison Smuck.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at The Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with Pastor Steve Cowfer officiating. Viewing will be 12:30-1:30 PM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery with full military rites provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
