George H. Myers, age 95, of York, died at 5:39 PM Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jean Myers.
Born October 18, 1928, in York, he was a son of the late James P. and Theosia (Herman) Myers. He first served in the US Army in Alaska during WWII, and then worked as a blacksmith, farrier, and horse trainer, and enjoyed a lifetime of farming.
Mr. Myers is survived by a daughter, Marcy Bushey, of York; two granddaughters, Ashley Schetter, and Sommer Finnigan; and seven great grandchildren, Bennett, Rhett, Kensie, Brandon, Nathan, Austin, and Maylee. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Brandon Bushey; three brothers, Ronald, Nelson and Ralph Myers; and a sister, Mildred Haught.
William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 2150 Carlisle Road, York, is in charge of private funeral arrangements.
