Georgiann M. Shutt Obituary

Georgiann M. Shutt, age 81, of East Manchester Township, Manchester, died Friday, June 28, 2024, at Stillwater Medical Center in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She was the wife of the late William H. Shutt, Sr.

Born June 6, 1943, in Lebanon County, a daughter of the late George and June (Ryan) Books, she retired from the Penna Higher Education Assistance Agency as a data analyst and was a member of Bethany Church in York.

Mrs. Shutt is survived by a son, William H. Shutt, Jr., and his wife Lisa, of Newberrytown; a daughter, Sandra L. Ford, and her husband Shannon, of York; three grandchildren, Scott Fider, Brandon Shutt, and Katelyn Shutt; five great grandchildren, Bentley and Addison Shutt, and Lincoln, Elijah, and Sophia Ford; a brother, Robert J. Books; and two sisters, Carol A. Jones, and Rebecca Holtzclaw. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, David, Richard, and George Brooks, Jr.; and two sisters, Patsy E. Plesant, and Judith L. Haugness.

A Life Celebration will be held from 2-6:00 PM Friday July 12, 2024, at the West Manchester VFW, 4800 West Market Street, York, with Pastor Richard Saylor officiating. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, PA 17345, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
