Geraldine Elaine Asper, age 96, of Hallam, died Thursday, January 1, 2026, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joel S. Asper, who she married on November 18, 1951, and mother of the late Jeffery A. Asper.

Born May 3, 1929, in York, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Sarah R. (Slade) White.  She was a life member of Kreutz Creek Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Association, and helped with yard sales, bake sales, and soup and sandwich sales.  She loved and enjoyed being with her Church family.

She was a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for 15 years, retiring in 2004.  She joined the Women of the Moose in 1962 and became a life member in 2012 after 50 years of membership.  She and her sisters traveled extensively with the Moose during her 63 years of membership.

Mrs. Asper is survived by nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by a brother, Albert White, Jr.; and eight sisters, Margaret White, Anneta Arvin, Helen Burkey, Alverta Campbell, Sarah Jacobs, Ethel Freed, Mildren Runkle, and Delores Billet.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Kreutz Creek Presbyterian Church, 85 Old Church Ln, York, PA 17406, with her Pastor, The Rev. Kelly Shiflett, officiating. Burial will be in Kreutz Creek Cemetery. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kreutz Creek Presbyterian Church, 85 Old Church Lane, York, PA 17406.
