Gertrude L. Brubaker, age 87, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 11:55 AM Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Kingston Court Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Brubaker.

Born June 3, 1939, in York, she was a daughter of the late Erney and Mary (Fortney) Byers. She was an advocate for the SPCA and served on its Board of Directors, and as Board President.

Mrs. Brubaker is survived by a son, Scott A. Beaverson, Esq., of Spring Grove; three daughters, Jennifer Coble, and her husband Robert, of York, Sarah Beaverson, of Annville, and Jessica Waltemeyer, of York; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; a sister, Virginia Orr, of York; and a sister-in-law, Cynthia Byers, of York. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Byers.
