Gladys A. Shue, age 95, of York, died at 11:33 PM Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Autumn House East. She was the wife of the late Ralph G. Shue.

Born March 24, 1929, in York, a daughter of the late Philip J. and Reatha M. (Gatewood) Morgan, she was a 1947 graduate of Pittston High School and had worked for Teledyne McKay. She was known for her sewing, knitting and crocheting skills and was the designer of The Needle Nook, innovator of Gladway to Start Crochet, and authored articles to sewing and knitting magazines. She was also a member of Colonial York Knitters Guild and Heritage Senior Center in Dover and the Dover Library.

Mrs. Shue is survived by a daughter, Nancy Shue, of York; a son, David Shue, and his wife Pauline, of Half Moon Bay, California; two grandchildren; a sister, Susie Kline, of Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Shue.

Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York is in charge of private funeral arrangements.
