Glenn E. Schlosser

Goldsboro - Glenn E. Schlosser, age 87, of Goldsboro, died at 6:20 PM Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the Gardens at Camp Hill. Born July 22, 1933 in Goldsboro, Glenn was the son of Lester and Ella (Sipe) Schlosser. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Stewart Schlosser and Fern Schlosser, and three sisters, Charlotte Kemper, Gretna Lauer, and Norma Weirich. He is survived by one brother-in-law, Wib Weirich.

Glenn is a lifetime member of Paddletown St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where he held many positions over the years. Glenn received his diploma from New Cumberland High School. He spent two years in the army with eight weeks of Leadership School after which, he was an instructor of small weapons.

Upon discharge, he graduated as an apprentice in sign painting and other business signs. The York Barbell is one of his favorite signs which he designed and engineered. Glenn became creative director and graphic design artist for an advertising company which is now Lamar. He retired in 1998 to be a full-time watercolor artist and he received many awards. He held many one-man shows throughout central PA and beyond. He was a member of York Art Association, Pennsylvania Watercolor Association, and Baltimore Watercolor Association. He had his own gallery in Goldsboro called Gallery 246. He is a 32nd Degree Mason and Shrine of Harrisburg.

Glenn was the husband of Gayle (Poet) Schlosser for 60 years. He is survived by his wife and three children, Scott and wife Lisa, and their sons Brandon (and wife Dana) and Sean (and wife Tracey); David and wife Crystal, and their son Joshua (and wife Natasha); Susan Bertolette, and her husband Jeff, and their two children Justin (and partner Joshua) and Madyson; as well as three great grandchildren, Zephyr, Anthony, and Vincent.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Paddletown St. Paul's UMC, 355 Church Rd, Newberrytown, with Pastor Jane Keller and Pastor Joyce Treas officiating. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery, Newberrytown. A reception with the family will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 355 Church Road, Etters PA 17319.
