Gloria E. Hamberger

Gloria E. Hamberger, age 93, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 10:13 AM Friday, October 23, 2020 at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Hamberger, whom she married on July 20, 1947.

Born on March 10, 1927 in York, a daughter of the late Harry F. and Marie (Eater) Frey, she was a 1945 graduate of William Penn Senior High School.  She had retired from Sperry Hutchinson Company and had previously worked for AB Farquhar and York Blue Print.  She was a member of Union Lutheran Church since 1947, and enjoyed playing cards, reading books, and bowling in several leagues.

Mrs. Hamberber is survived by a daughter, Jane M. Kohl, and her husband James P., of Seven Valleys; one granddaughter, Heather Goldman, and her husband Bret; two grandsons, J. Michael Kohl and Deron P. Kohl; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Goldman and a great grandson, Andrew Goldman. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother, William D. Frey.

Funeral services will be private, with her Pastor, The Rev. Joel Folkemer, officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.  Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
