Guy M. Farner, age 78, of Newberry Township, Manchester, died at 7:05 AM Sunday, January 3, 2021 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Faye A. (Wetzel) Farner.
Born November 30, 1942 in Maytown, a son of the late Guy E. and Ella (Poorman) Farner, he was a graduate of Hershey High School, and then served in the US Navy on the USS Enterprise during the Viet Nam War. After serving in the Navy he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University. He retired in 2007 as an Electrical Engineer for the Naval Supply Systems Command in Mechanicsburg, after 25 years of employment.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Farner is survived by two sons, Lucas E. Farner, of Dover, and Matthew E. Farner, and his wife Kimberly, and daughter Sadie Farner of Hanover; and a sister, Kathryn Snavely Middletown. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Lois Fallinger, Patsy Christ, Miriam Mumma, and Barbara Jean Farner; and two brothers, Samuel and Donald Farner.
William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of private services. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
