H. Roger Miller

H. Roger Miller, Sr., age 94, of Spring Garden Township, York, died Wednesday, November 10, 2021.  He was the husband of the late Doris (Hursh) Miller.

Born April 3, 1927 in York Township, a son of the late Jacob L. and Ada V. (Markey) Miller, he was the owner of J.L. Miller and Sons Meats, and was a member of New Fairview Church of the Brethren, The Gideons International, and Rotary Club of York.

Mr. Miller is survived by a son, H. Roger Miller, Jr., and his wife Kathy, of York; two daughters, Joan L. Flickinger, and her husband Bruce, of York, and Barbara J. Strohman, and her husband Harry, of York; nine grandchildren, Nicole Kessler, Natalie Bojko, Nathan Flickinger, Shawn Strohman, Nicholas Strohman, Jordan Miller, Christopher Miller, Lara Owlett, and Benjamin Miller; 14 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; a brother, Jacob Miller, Jr., of Spring Grove; and a sister, Ruth Godfrey, of York.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Glen E. Miller; and two brothers, John and David Miller.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 20, 2021, 11:00 AM, at New Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1873 New Fairview Road, York, with Pastors Roland Hoet, and Ryan Billet officiating.  Visitation will be 9-11:00 AM.  Burial will be in New Fairview Cemetery.  Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
